The whole Sarah Shirley team loves to have fun, so every now and again we like to take some time away from the office to go somewhere new, learn something new, have fun and just get inspired! Here we are on Long Beach this week after taking a yoga class on a stand up paddle board.
I skipped my workout today but I got stacked in this little jewelry concession on Broadway called Spoil Me Fashion. A little DIY mixology and my wrist was stacked in some fresh new trinkets.

I cant wait to visit Caravan Stylist Studio in the Garment District to have my hair styled and pick up some fab clothes by emerging American designers. The Studio supports Savethegarmentcenter.org, a website that promotes buying garments that are made locally and in the US. Less than 5% of garments sold in America are actually made here so lets change that by supporting our young new designers!

Were wishing we could make it to San Diego, California this July for the largest gathering of fashion film professionals, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. Attendees include the granddaddy of fashion - Karl Lagerfeld, fashion photographer and film maker Bruce Weber and a favorite of ours Marcus K Jones. Catch Sarah in Marcus' 2011 film 'The Tents'.
So now summer is officially here, if you haven't already, you should be booking your summer vaycay! I'm dreaming of sun, beautiful beaches and complete serenity. My first choice is going to be Kuramathi Island Resort in the Maldives. Fab for a relaxing girls getaway or make it romantic and stay in a secluded water villa - nothing but you, your boo and the crystal clear sea. Bliss!
You know its summertime when Bryant Park's summer film festival begins. It all kicked off this Monday with 1960's thriller "Psycho" and movies will play every Monday through August. One movie we won't be missing is everyones favorite "The Wizard Of Oz", showing July 2nd.
This weekend I was lucky enough to explore the forest of Arden in the middle of Central Park. Shakespeare in the Park is currently running As You Like It, and after this gender rearing production passes Amy Adams is set to grace us as the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods this July. Take a chance and wait for your ticket to these amazing FREE shows, and a little hint bring a blanket!
While wandering around Soho this glorious weekend I popped into C.Wonder and stumbled upon this rosy Vespa! J'adore her door knocker light earrings and spot on trend floral dress... ready for a jaunt around Paris! Vroom Vroom!
Today is nature photography day, and seeing as this month at Sarah Shirley Inc were totally loving Brazil, its only fitting that I post some images of beautiful Brazilian landscapes. This incredible place is Lencois Maranhenses sand dunes in Northeastern Brazil. This is a view I need to see in the flesh!
Congratulations to the Volcom Figi Pro Champion Kelly Slater! Slater pulled in a mint set beating out some of the world's top surfers... Yeah Dude 40 is the new 20!
Wow... WOW! I haven't had a chance yet to see this spectacle in the flesh but it is the next stop on my list. My June fave see is Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. This symbol of peace sits a-top Corcovado overlooking the capital of Brazil. This is one statue I need to SEE this year!
