BFF

How amazing is this necklace?! While out shopping with the boyfriend this week we strolled into In God We Trust, and spent the next hour or more parusing through treasures of all kinds. Not only was the clothing wonderful but their jewelery was insanely magnificent! Boyfriend bought me a heart shaped necklace with "Wonder Buns" engraved on the front! Could that be any cuter?! They also had a long list of other profane titles such as balls to the wall, best fuckin friends, suck a fuck and many more. I highly suggest getting one for that special someone. Mothers day is just around the corner, I bet your mom would love a necklace that says sugar tits on it.

Sunshiny Day

If you haven't already heard this weekend is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! I plan on taking full advantage of the sun by heading to central park. Bring that special someone along and rent a row boat! The first hour is only $10 and each aditional hour $2.50! You'll be having an adventure, and its cheap! Or if you have some extra cash and dont feel like rowing yourself around, go for a gondala ride, this will set you back $30 for a half hour, but the romance will make up for it. And if you really want to have your loved one swooning, prepare a picinic for you both to endulge in on the waters edge. Have fun, you might see me there!

Vic. B. Sunnies with Eye Shadow and Blush

If you saw my Today Show Segment, "Sunglasses for Your Shape" I mentioned a pair of glasses that you don't need to wear make-up because they have eye shadow and blush built in. Referring to Miss Posh Spice's oversized divorcee style glasses with a frame that fades(upper left corner) from light blue to pink! This comment was a shout out to my late grandmother, Elaine who really had glasses that gave her the look of eye shadow and blush. I do, however, really love the navy blue pair (lower left corner) and would so channel my inner Victoria Beckham with these especially if it led to David!

Your First Apartment

Enter, an apartment in the E. Village you share with you friends. This was the scenario created for the ad campaign for Sty Town I was hired to style. I let the client talk me out of using the funkiest Chloe shoes because she did not understand them for the brown suede booties that look so dated. The Chloe booties, even though very edgy would have looked timeless. Both images shot by the ubercool, Miki Duisterhof

Eco-Chic for Earth Day

Toggery by Kate D'Arcy is a line of organic clothing for the style and earth conscious consumer. An oxymoron yes, but if you must consume at least consume something that is made in the USofA and made from organic material like cotton or bamboo. Yup, Kate's clothes are made in Pennsylvania, not half way around the world and flown in using thousands of gallons of jet fuel. My point is, consume less and consume with some awareness of the location of your desired garment is made. Don't just shop at Walmart becuase it's cheap but put some money back into the pockets of your fellow Americans.

Do your part for the world this Earth day. Here's what I'm doing.
- Picking up someone else's litter. Every time I go to the beach or a park, I pick up 5 pieces of trash that is not mine. Everyone can do this simple task. It's the small things that make a big differnence
-I don't buy garbage bags. Use all those gorgeous shopping bags you have stuffed up under your sink for the trash. Your garbage has never looked better.
- Get a cool reusable water bottle and use it. Stop buying bottled water every time you get a bit parched. Check out my water bottle.

Being good to the environment is simple. Consume less. Find a way to do your part. The earth will love you if you love it back.

Tutti Frutti Hat

Looking for a fruity feast for the eyes? Take it back Technicolor style with Carmen Miranda in The Gang's All Here. I'm watching it right now and had to share with you all how truly fun and feisty this movie is, especially the very witty banana number. This movie is so brilliant, it was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration, Color.

Style Shredder

I have been looking into buying a new skateboard to fly around town on this summer, and I finally found the one for me! How chic would it be to roll down 5th avenue on this Louis Vuitton by Steven Sprouse limited edition cruiser! I'd Die! This fanciful ride retails for $8250!!!! I guess I will have to stick with my old school Ricta wheels a little while longer, but a girl can dream can't she?!

Want to get in a skating mood?
Rent one of my favorite movies

Geeks and Dorks and Nerds... Oh My

For the past week I have been in a Harry Potter frency, watching all 5 dvds over and over! I just can't get enough of Potter! I came across this book "Geeky Dreamboats" while surfing the web today and realized that I love Harry Potter because he is such a nerd. The glasses, the hair, the robes... I hate to say it but he is a real geek! Along with my boyfriend Daniel Radcliffe this book also featues my other boyfriend Michael Cera and my two ex boyfriends from Flight of the Concords! You couldn't find any more dorks in one place unless you were at a comic book convention!

Just Coach'in

In the book, Like I Give a Frock by Michigirl, she often says she's just blousing. A term used to describe trying on clothes she has no intention of buying. Some images from the Coach show room. I believe you can only look because these items aren't for sale. But so chic. I love the collection of frames in various sizes and the multi-colour tufted button cushion. GREAT deco ideas for anyone looking to do a bit of Spring cleaning. Take all the pictures in your home and relocate them to one central location.

Designer Imposters

Does anyone remember "Designer Imposters?" In the drugstore you'd see, " If you like CK One then you will love U clean." How bloody tacky. Here are some cute imposters of a different kind. Happy Easter everyone. Remember this time of year represents beginnings and rebirth. It's a time to turn over a new leaf and get a fresh start.

Buona Pasqua - Happy Easter!

One thing I loved about living in Italy was the window displays especially around Easter. Everything was decked to the 9's. Mary and I were walking back from an appointment at Safilo, (they make sunglasses that you all know and love like Careera, Gucci, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Juicy, Liz Claiborne. We passed by Tinsel Trading in on 47 W. 38th Street in Manhattan and couldn't help but stop in our tracks. We gushed over the hunam size bunny and the oodles of ribbon. If you like ribbons, buttons, beads or bows you've got to head to 38th street the cities trim district. Also, if you see something say something, in the midst of all our flamboyance about the window, the woman who designed it walked by. We made her day! Pass on the stoke people! Tell someone they look great! Especially if they do!

Piss Off

This Monday evening I had the pleasure to see Elton John's, Billy Elliot on Broadway! And it sent Electricity threw my bones!!! This extraordinarily uplifting and intoxicating show had me weeping with tears of joy. For those of you who aren't familiar with the story of Billy Elliot, let me give you the low down. Young Billy, who's mother recently passed and dad and brother are enduring the horrible miners strike is sent to boxing lessons but soon finds himself fancying a different sort of footwork, BALLET! Billy soon realizes his ballet potential and is going to audition for the Royal Ballet School, but his family is to overwhelmed with the thought of Billy being a "Poof" to let him ever dance again. It's a heart wrenching tale of a family that wants nothing more than to be together but is being pulled apart at the seams. With the help of Billy's loopy grandmother and best "cross-dressing" friend Micheal, this sob story is quickly changed into a upbeat dance comedy with plenty of British humor and language not entirely suitable for the kiddies!

Sweet Sweat

Summer is closing in on us, and its time to get bathing suit ready! If you are like me and want to have your cake and eat it to (literally)! Then it's time to put on your gym clothes and sweat off those sweets. I have been going to Hot Yoga for the past 2 months and I have never felt better. Mind you this is not for the faint of heart, as you are in a 105 degree room for 90 minutes doing some intense strength building yoga poses. Yoga not for you, would you rather get your body prepared for hitting some totally tubular waves? Then try Crunch Gyms Surfboarding class, although your not actually in the water or on a surfboard this class prepares you for hours of balancing on your longboard. Or if your just looking for a free way to work out and meet new people, join the Nike Running Club. This club meets every Tuesday and Thursday @ 6:30p.m., and Saturday @ 9:00a.m. Whether you’re training or looking for a new motivation, runners and walkers of all levels meet to run 3, 5 and 7 miles-your choice, your pace. No matter what work out method you choose, it's time for all of us coach potatoes to stop surfing the channels and start surfing the waves.
