On the topic of “jeweltastic,” I was in Forever 21 the other day and bought the most FABULOUS necklace. It is a gold chain with literally a plate of jewels, tacked on choker style to the front. It’s one of those things that you see on a passer-by and stop to ask her where it is from because it is so outstanding and eye-catching. That’s how I found out about it, ironically. I was having a quick bite to eat at Blockheads on Thursday night on 33rd and 3rd avenue, and I saw this girl walk into the restaurant wearing this necklace and a really pretty plain black tank dress. Her jewelry was soo intense that I grabbed her by the arm as she passed and was like, “Your necklace is AMAZING…where in gods name is that fabulous thing from?” She was so flattered by my comment, flashing a huge smile; then bent down to ear-level and whispered, “Forever 21!” Unbelievable. So the next day, I stopped into the one on Broadway in SoHo and picked one up for $8.90 – probably the best price ever, and wore it out the following night. Lesson to be learned here; some of the most fabulous things are under 10 dollars come in yellow and black bags!
